Amor in uom gentil è una luce
qual d'ogni virtù accende,
rendendo per mal bene a chi l'offende.
Né si commove per soffiar di vento,
ma come ferma petra
perman sicuro e in se stesso gode.
In bene oprar veloce,
al male è lento
e il suo passo arretra
per non voler del mondo false lode,
onde sua vita a buon porto conduce:
di che suo fama splende
e maggio gloria dal superno attende
