Per la mie dolze piaga, che per gli ochi
a lungo sono pentrò nel core,
legommi e prese e terrà sempre Amore.

O vezoso, tremolante e pio
legame e nodo del dolze lavoro,
principal verbo fosti al gran disio,
perfetto, grazioso e tanto soro,
che, come tra' metalli fulge l'oro,
a la virtù di te ogni altra more,
tanta nel mondo se' degna d'onore.

O nobil treza di color d'argento,
troppo serrasti el cor al tuo servire,
ché nullo amante più, io ben el sento,
nel fraile mondo potrebbe patire,
tante virtù 'n un corpo el sommo sire
