e cape' de la vaga pulzelletta,
la cu' dolce saetta
el cor con tutt'i sensi ha confortati.

Nel bel giardin di bianchi gigli addorno
trova', cercand', una fresca rosetta.
Tanto mi piacque, che senza soggiorno
coglier la volli così teneretta.
Entrai tra' bianchi fiori in su l'erbetta
e colsila con piacere amoroso,
sempre tegnendo ascoso
e' diletti nel fioretto provati

Translation

The hair of this lovely young girl
looks like a skein of fine gold threads;
her sweet love dart
through all the senses brought gladness to my heart.

In the fine garden, with white lilies adorned,
I sought, and found, a lovely little rose.
So much I liked it that, without delay,
I picked it as it was, so fresh and tender.
I went among the white flowers in the grass
and picked it with amorous delight,
cherishing within me
the pleasure I received from that small flower.
