chi è sanza pietate
a chi con lealtate
li porta amor e fede.
Pena non è magiore
né cosa aspra e più dura,
ch'aver dentro nel core
amor con grand'ardura
per tal, che non ha
cura
né pensa el suo martire:
oh lo possa patire
quella ch'a me nol crede!
Or ne va, mia ballata,
tostamente a pregare
a quella dispiatata
